My Last Summer as a Teenager.

Hello everyone!!! Right now its 4oclock in the midnight.

I would like to explain the reason why im still awake at this time later.

I decided to write my part since its already past midnight and its my turn!!!

Well, hello again!!! And for those of you who don't know me,

my name is MISAKI NAKAGAWA.

I belong to the College of Business @ Rikkyo University.

My major is Global Business.

This summer is my last summer being a teenager.

In Japan, when you turn 20, its something different than before.

(Well, even though you know we still do things even if were teens but we'll leave that away for now:-P lol )

So, i've been trying soooooo hard to enjoy my last summer as a teenager.

So far, I've been doing a pretty good job!!!

Yesterday night, me and 17 of my friends from Rikkyo went to "KASAI RINKAI KO-EN" at night to have some fun!!

We met up at Ikebukuro, which is where our school is located at.

We arrived at "KASAI RINKAI KO-EN"

at about 1:00 in the midnight.

Did you know that the parking area at "KASAI RINKAI KO-EN" is open 24hrs??

So, you're allowed to go inside at any times!!!

Don't worry everyone, I didn't break in or anything like that.

So, this is the reason why I'm still awake. I came back at my house @ 8am, went to bed and woke up at like 4pm. Im not sleepy at all!!!

Well anyways, I would like to explain about "KASAI RINKAI KO-EN"

KO-EN means park in Japanese. Kasai is the location where the park is. Rinkai means seaside.

So in english it can be translated , "KASAI SEASIDE PARK"

In the park they have a giant wheel.

This Giant Wheel is 117m high from the ground at the highest point and the diameter is 111m.

At night, the wheel shines bright in different patterns and its very beautiful!!!

I wasn't able to go on because obviously it was closed at that time.lol

I guess this is about it with my blog today!!! I hope you guyz will have a wonderful summer!!

Hello,all. I am Kazuma ODA. I am in the faculty of Economics of Keio university.
I introduce my dairy life.

1. Election of Councilors
In the election, the Liberal Democratic Party(LDP) was defeated by Democratic party. This is partly because of the ministers. I welcome the result. Though I stand LDP in some aspect like economic policy, more discussion only can make the democracy or policy sophisticated.

2. Heavy rain
It is 11 pm. Today it slmost always rains heavily with thunders. Do you like rain or thunder??
Yes, I like. Tiger says in the NIKE CM, " I like rainy day." So I do. Oh! somewhere is strucked b the thunder!

3. party
Japanese students tend to drink through all-night. Ordinary students keep drinking or go to Karaoke. But waliking is one of my drinking style. We (I and my friends) started to walk in midnight(2:00 am) from Hakusan in Bunkyouku to.....Shinbashi. Its distance is ○○Km!! As Haruki write in the Afterdark, the city which many people go across is sleeping. Very tired.

Yasukuni Shrine

Good evening, Every one!!

My name is Yoko Ichimura. I belong to the College of Business in Rikkyo university.

Today, I am going to write about Yasukuni shrine with same photos.

On Friday, some members of LF went to yasukuni shrine as our fieldwork. It was really hot and cicadas were so noisy.
By the way, I've ever heard that only Japanese express the sound of cecada as "song" not "noise". Do you like the songs of cicadas?

Some people prayed and drew fortune slips (omikuji in Japanese). Fotunately, I got Daikichi. According to the Japanese-English dictionary, Daikichi means "very good luck" in English!!

We visited Yushu-kan and saw many historical materials exhibited from an unique point of view.

After we came back to Rikkyo university, we shared our impression of Yasukuni shrine. The visit to the shrine was a nice incentive for us to study history. And we also discussed about what impartial HISTORY is.

The new style of Japanese comedy

My name is Mitsutoshi Arima. I am sophomre at Rikkyo.
In this article, I want to introduce Hikari Ota, who is a Japanese comedian and teams up with Yuji Tnaka as the comedy duo BAKUSYOU MONDAI -which roughly translates as "matter of a roaring laugh."
He has a famous TV program, If I Became Prime Minister. In this program, he accuses the country's leaders. His treatment might seem tame in other countries, but in Japanit represents a bold foray into the formerly forbidden territory of political satire.
Japan's traditional deference in japan.
But taboos have eroded over the last decade as bereaucrats have to authority has long limited comedians to nonpolitical slapstic routines. Freedom of expression has relatively short histry been shamed by scandals, politicians have become more dependent on public opinion, and ordinary people are growing more vocal.
These days nearly anything is fair game. Ota and his colleagues lampoon the prime minister ,joke about policies and even treated on ultimate taboo.
At last, Ota might be symbolic of modern Japanese society.
